Care & Staffing

We provide full Nursing care, Residential care for an accompanying spouse, Respite, and Convalescent Care.

Close co-operation between our experienced Team of Nurses and Carers, and local general practitioners ensures that our residents state of health is managed and monitored according to detailed care-plans. We are also happy for some residents to be attended to by their own general practitioner.

Whilst the majority of our staff have been with us for over five years, there are some senior staff across all categories who have been at Westhampnett House for over ten years. This continuity helps maintain the ethos and ambience of our home and is perhaps one of the reasons why Westhampnett House has enjoyed a reputation for providing high levels of care over the years.

Our program of continuous improvement ensures that staff attend regular programs to keep their training current, and relevant to the needs of our residents.

Both visitors and trade suppliers alike often comment about the friendly and bubbly disposition of our people. From our grounds-men, through our cleaners, carers, nurses, and administrators, you will find a happy bunch of people. We believe that creating and maintaining this ambience is an important element in nursing our residents to good health.

Activities

Our Home provides a full range of activities delivered largely through specialist service providers. These programs are designed to entertain as well as stimulate our residents, and are reviewed together with residents, quarterly. Special events such as those to celebrate the last Royal wedding, the Queens Diamond Jubilee, Easter, etc are planned and managed internally. Other events are run in co-ordination with local organisations such as St Peters parish church.
